Three Roll Milling Ultra Fine Components
Our mills are recommended for the dispersing of ultra fine components as carbon black and fumed silica. These materials are milled into polymer systems first and then other solid components are introduced into the slurry. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us! Three Roll Mills have the highest shear of all mills!
For highly viscous materials, three roll mills may be heated to reduce slurry viscosity. According to “Practical Dispersion: A Guide to Understanding and Formulating Slurries”, three roll mills provide the highest shear of all mills. Our lab size mills are plug and play machines; for customersin the US: 110V, 60Hz, single phase. We customize them for our overseas customers based on what they need. THT Three Roll Mills Cooling/Heating
Torrey Hills Technologies’ three roll mills are cored to allow cooling/ heating. Cooling is of course needed for prolonged use so that expansion does not damage rollers by rubbing against each other. Our cooling system is convenient and great to have. Hope you check it out! Thanks so much

Milling pigment lipsticks for JAFRA Cosmetics
We milled samples of pigment lipsticks for JAFRA Cosmetics and it worked out very well! Last week, we shipped a 6×12 model to our customer. Our three roll mills are great dispersion machines for the cosmetic industry, i.e. color pigment dispersion. So let us know how we can help you!!

Lab Model Cooling System Flow Rate
Our lab model cooling system flow rate: the recommended flow rate for the our cooling system is 100 gallons per hour. The immersion pump we used that works really well with it was 130 gph. Any questions regarding this, please email us. We will be more than happy to help.
